Reflecting on Barnabas

On Sunday we considered Barnabas as the encourager. Personally, I was struck by the ways in which time and again he was someone in the life of the church who was an advocate, an intermediary who came alongside and helped individuals like Saul/Paul, John Mark as well as the church at large. He risked and helped by enabling them to navigate the difficult conversations. In terms of mediation - conflict transformation - reconciliation work Barnabas was a third-sider, a term used by William Ury. Here is a TEd talk he gave that might add to this practically for us.
