Our understanding of what is commonly spoken of as ‘membership’ is that it is more about becoming someone who is a disciple and wants to commit to serve as part of the ministry and mission of the local congregation.

Profession of Faith is one way for those who have/have not been baptised to make promises before the congregation.

Others may already professed faith and so can make this local commitment through what is known as a Certificate of transfer form their previous congregation or by Special resolution of the Session. In the latter instance, a simple letter that states that you have already been baptised and professed faith and that you desire to commit to the congregation here. This will be shared at a Session meeting.

Whichever route is taken all are invited to a Welcome cafe.
